Long before Quartz & Co. had a name, the seeds of it were already there.
Health, wellness, spirituality and creativity have been meaningful parts of my life from an early age. Over time, they have shaped both who I am and how I support others.
My hope is to create space for you to reconnect with yourself, find steadier ground, soften around what feels tender, and gain clarity about what comes next.
When I was young, my parents often gifted my sisters and me crystals. I was always fascinated by them and by the healing properties attributed to each one. I would often choose a particular crystal based on what I felt like I needed that day, carrying it in my pocket as I went about my day. I didn’t know then how deeply they would shape the way I came to understand healing.
When I think of quartz, smoky, rose and clear quartz feel foundational to me, each carrying its own potent qualities. Smoky quartz represents grounding and stability, helping us feel anchored when life feels uncertain. Rose quartz became a symbol of compassion, the steady, unconditional kind we all need. Clear quartz represented clarity, the ability to see what is true and amplify what is already present. Together, they became quiet teachers in how I approach life and, eventually, my work.
Today, as a registered social worker, Reiki Master, and certified meditation and breathwork teacher, I bring evidence-based counselling, intuitive energy work, breath, and meditation together to support the whole person. Through conversation, energy work, presence, and practices tailored to you, I help clients reconnect with themselves, make sense of what they’re moving through, and create space for greater calm, clarity and connection.
The name Quartz & Co. began with personal connection: my lifelong love of crystals and my last name, Kortzman, pronounced "Quartz-man." As my practice has evolved, the name has come to hold even deeper meaning. To me, quartz reflects grounding, compassion, clarity and amplification, qualities that also shape how I approach healing. It represents the integration at the heart of my practice, grounded yet luminous, practical yet sacred.
I believe in the body's innate capacity for healing when we create the conditions for it to do so.
This is why I value the integration of talk therapy and Reiki. Through conversation, we give words to what the mind has been carrying. Through Reiki and energy work, we create space for what the body has been holding to soften and move.
I hold space for your own light to come forward so your natural clarity can shine through.
Like quartz, this work is grounded yet luminous, practical yet deeply spiritual.

I bring over 20 years of experience in addiction and mental health, with roles spanning counselling, clinical supervision and program and portfolio leadership. Much of my career has focused on supporting young people aged 21 and under. Since entering private practice in 2021, my work has expanded into supporting all ages.
I'm drawn to supporting people through changes they didn't plan for, particularly those experiences that challenge their sense of identity or the future they imagined. Alongside my work in addiction and mental health, I value helping people make sense of these transitions without pressure to have everything figured out.
I also have an interest in supporting athletes. My social work practicum explored addiction and mental health among elite athletes, and how clinical social work can support their needs beyond performance.
